Recently I was asked why someone might benefit from using a financial planner.
After planning for almost 29 years, you’d think answering this question would be simple…and yet I frequently find myself answering with “it depends”!
When I expanded on my “it depends”, I made sure to expand on the fact that no two families financial situations and needs are the same, which means no two answers/solutions provided to families are the same.
Depending on your family situation, a range of solutions might be available to you, especially if you’re:
– busy paying off debt, there can be more than one way to tax effectively pay off your home loan
– wanting to know how to build your super. There are multiple strategies that can achieve that outcome, you may not know what’s available to you
– needing to fund your retirement lifestyle. This can be achieved in multiple tax-effective ways
– having a loved one needing to move to aged care & attempting to figure out the best way to afford it. The solution could be using strategies to allow for retaining a part aged pension, protecting assets or creating tax effective income combined with potential for capital appreciation.
Clients tell me one of the biggest “side effects” of working with me is having a sense of certainty and knowing they’ve been able to use the best strategies available to support their family’s financial needs.
