Yet another phone call from a tele-marketing agency has caused me to ponder why…?
Why is it, providers are willing to spend time and money to make outbound, cold calls in an effort to sell their product, but won’t share their business contact details? They ring from unlisted or hidden numbers, meaning it’s not possible to verify business details.
If they’re not willing to share business contact details, how on earth can they expect to have credibility…and that people will use their services?
It might appear old fashioned, but people like to know who they’re dealing with, and have a right to know who they can trust.
Trust is the reason I took time to meet new clients who were visiting the Gold Coast on the weekend. We’ve just started working together but hadn’t seen each other so it was beneficial, for both parties, to be able to put a face to a name. It’s about creating trust and understanding.
Every client has my mobile number and is encouraged to use it!
Providing advice should be about creating long-lasting two-way trust relationships. What’s your thoughts?
